Let’s be honest. Family sessions don’t always go as we plan it.
I mean, who are we kidding here? We build an entire Pinterest board of the perfectly posed and perfectly captured candid moments so that we can plan our shoot around in hopes that our session will look like how we envision it.
Here’s the thing, 9 times out of 10, you’re going to get what you’re going to get. Kids definitely have a mind of their own and generally after 45 min of shooting, they’re definitely over it.
But you know what? I think that’s okay. I think we strive for our families to look picture perfect. This is probably deeply ingrained into us because when I was a kid my parents and grandparents were always yelling us to say cheese so they could get one photo where we’re all smiling at least. (Can anyone else relate? haha)
I’ve been capturing moments for Bella and Alex since they were in high school. Now, they have Fabian and I couldn’t be more ecstatic to be a part of this and documenting their family life! Fabian was definitely over photos so we just played with him the entire time and got the photos we could.
At the end of the day, even if these weren’t absolutely perfect, it’s perfectly them and I’m glad we were able to document real authentic moments with the entire family.
